THC DISTILLATE – THE CLEAN CONCENTRATE

With dozens of different cannabis extracts available today, it may be hard to believe that there is yet another method on the market that is totally different from BHO and other extracts. THC distillate known as The Clear or The Pure, is 99% Pure THC. Although with potency in the high 90 percentile, cannabis distillate is not for the new and inexperienced. This cannabis extract is the result of an extraction process called “short path distillation” that separates and refines molecules and contaminants to create a clean, almost clear concentrate, producing a highly regarded, “top-shelf”, concentrate.

So, what exactly makes this THC distillate different than shatter or wax or any other concentrate?

Two things! First, THC distillate is more potent and pure. However, the major difference is in how they are made.

In order to distill the cannabinoids into their purest form, additional refinement must be executed. This process is known as Short Path Distillation and has proven to produce single compound oils that can reach upwards of 99% purity.

THE DISTILLATION PROCESS

The THC distillation process is a two-part process, where the first part removes terpenes, and the second part removes lipids, impurities, and solvents.

The THC, as well as other cannabinoids and terpenes, must first be separated from the cannabis plant via solvent-based extraction methods while retaining many fats, lipids, and other compounds. A variety of extraction methods have been developed for decades within the industry, the most common of which use the solvents butane, propane, CO2 and alcohol.

Unlike products like BHO and PHO that typically leave residues, impurities and microscopic amounts of unwanted materials in their end product, cannabis distillates are created using a short path distillation technique that differs from typical solvent extraction.

Short Path distillation uses pressure, steam and heat to control the boiling points, creating a much cooler temperature for the compounds to pass through. During this process, the volatile THC compounds are separated by their molecular weight and individual boiling point, leaving behind less volatile and undesirable compounds.

This process is repeated over and over again to create pure cannabinoids without plant matter or residual solvents.

As this process produces a product that has no measurable amount of terpene content, extractors often reintroduce them back into the oil as we do with ours – Check out our selection of flavours here!

BENEFITS OF DISTILLATE

Purity

In today’s health-conscious society, many are seeking healthier options for optimal living, this holds true with Cannabis consumption as well. The Short Path Distillation process creates a very pure extraction, by leaving out potentially harmful solvents. The result is a concentrate that contains very high levels of THC but with none of the impurities. #signmeup

THC Content

The finished product from a distillate process results in 90-99% THC- That’s A LOT! Compared to the 15-25% range found in flowers, or the 60-80% found in BHO and Co2 made concentrates. This level of THC content won’t only appeal to recreational users who enjoy getting breaks from reality from time to time, but it also benefits those who rely on THC’s potency for medical reasons.

Discretion

Not only is THC distillate pure with an obscene amount of THC content, but it also is a concentrate that is inherently odorless.. hello smoking in public! The lack of odor lends THC distillate as the ideal choice for medicating in public spaces, like work, social gathering or events, where it is generally frowned upon or not accepted.

Not only that! it can also be used in almost any method that’s suited to your preference, making it an extremely versatile medicine.

Fast-acting

Effects from this concentrate can be felt almost immediately as the THC has already been activated in the distillation process.

HOW TO USE THC DISTILLATE

THC distillate is typically packaged in very small syringes, as this is the easiest tool to both transport and manipulate the extract with.

There are many ways in which THC distillate is being used, however the most common is still dabbing.

Dabbing

Arguably the most popular method to consume THC distillates. By vaporizing the THC on a hot surface, one can consume without needlessly wasting end product.

Oral/Sublingual

A tiny drop under the tongue, should provide as much as 8-10 hours of relief for medical patients. It will take around an hour for it to hit when taken orally or sublingually, but it’s perfect for all-night (or all-day) relief.

like to kick it old school?

Joints

Although THC distillates may be a very modern cannabis product, you can still smoke it in OG ways. If youre a die-hard joint smoker, all you need to do is spread some THC distillate on your rolling paper, and roll it as usual with your pot!, find your favourite flower here! Pro-Tip: If you are adding distillate in a joint use less flower.

Vaporizing

Fill your vape tank with THC distillate, but make sure to use a ceramic coil and not a cotton coil otherwise the impurities may ruin the taste. Try our pre-filled THC distillate vape pods with added terpenes!

Is THC distillate edible?

Edibles:

Yes! THC distillate is edible, as it is made out of 99.9% organic contents. Add some THC distillate into your butter or cooking oil, then infuse it into your favourite dish.

Given the sheer purity, potency and versatility of cannabis distillate, its no wonder that THC distillates are revolutionizing the medicinal marijuana industry. If you haven’t taken THC distillates into consideration, this might be the time.

Always a fan of distillate in the mornings, find it gives a real heady high. Though, I haven’t tried indica terp-added distillate. Maybe I’ll give it a shot and see if I feel the indica effects

Just recently tried some flavored distillate in a vape cart and straight from a banger, it’s really potent and I live how portable the cartridges are.

Never tried any of the KT distillates but if it holds up to my experience with other concentrates I’m sure it’ll be great. What can I say, I’m just into that Nuken Live Resin myself. (shrug) But distillate is edible, and vapable, and a bunch of other things so I’m sure it’ll be a hit for many! I think it’ll mainly be appealing for the medical users with vapes… I might end up there eventually, I found if I use concentrate a few times a day my pain relief and focus becomes much better, and then I remember ‘oh right I’m not just a recreational user just because I’m having fun’… lol… can be both.

I have been smoking for more than 20 years now.. and this new stuff people are doing with weed now makes me feel like a newb???

I will have to try this some time.. I like the vape idea.. I used to have a vape pen.. but it was disposable so once it went dry that was it.

This distillate is easy on my lungs, I cough even less than with shatter. The only thing is, you have to sacrifice the taste. I am happy to know the process to get the stuff, thanks.

Biggest plus of distillates for me is the stealthyness, otherwise I’ll using go for a full spectrum extract. It’s great having options tho.

I finds distillate leaves my throat fairly raw. I haven’t found a distillate that doesn’t do this, but it doesn’t keep me away either, lol. Looking forward to trying some of King Tuts new distillate

The best part about distillate imo is it’s easy oral usage. As simple as stirring into your drink or dropping onto your tongue – much more palatable than rso.

Definitely love distillate lately and how much more available it’s become over the years. I remember when anything to do with concentrates was crazy expensive haha, started dabbing a few years ago and distillate definitely helps kick things up a notch for those rough days! 🙂

I love that you guys finally offer distillate! It is the most convenient way to blaze on the go, I carry a syringes or 2 with my Yocan Evolve Plus everywhere I go. Only tried the raw flavored one yet, will try them all 🙂 May I suggest looking into a blueberry kind of flavour, it is soooo tasty to vape!

I really enjoy distillate for the stealthiness and smooth/clean taste. Going to have to give some flavoured stuff a try; still trying to burn through my first 3gs of raw lol. Anyone who hasn’t given this a try yet I’d strongly suggest it! Very potent.

Okay I’m 100% sold on this. I’ve recently been researching more about the small impurities left over in most shatters and waxes, so I wanted something just pure like a rosin press or this. Thanks for the info!

Way too easy, I really enjoy distillates but don’t have them in regular rotation. Everything else seems to take a back seat due to their ease of use I save them for when I have to be away from home for a few days and don’t want to bother rolling joints , or vaping shatter one hit at a time.

You guys have blown me away! Just an excellent deal for your 420 and I am certainly impressed. I have been enjoying cannabis for more than 50 years now, but I would have to say that the deal I got at KT for this year’s 420 was one of the best I have ever had. Not only did I purchase the wedding cake distillate which I found to be smooth, strong with a pleasant flavour, but I also bought a couple of different shatters, which I already know that you guys do very well in both price and quality, and some rosin I haven’t tried yet. I spent $300 but only had to pay $204 with your 420 deductions. Not only that but I received so many free extras…a half gram Moroccan hash, a gram of god’s gift bud, a fat rolled doobie, pipe and screens, a couple of CBD bombs from Twisted Extracts and some hemp wraps, which I don’t even know what they are yet…lol. But it was an excellent order. I also want to add that I have no relation whatsoever to king tut’s except as a customer, but i am just that impressed with their pricing, quality, selection and freebies. As i said already, one of the best deals i have had in over a half century of buying and indulging in cannabis. Thanks KT, a job well done.

    Chayse247 says:

I’m not really a distillate guy but I have had my fair share of hits and it has such a clean taste, unlike any other, always the same flavour and consistency, and it vaporizes for a LONG time. Most dabs only take me a couple minutes to finish on my e-nail but distillate is a whole nother story, I usually find myself hauling on it for upwards of five minutes when all I wanted was a small dab! A very different type of concentrate to me thats for sure.

Distillate is super potent stuff and fun to experiment with, but I find the high is ways mind of sterile compared to a more full spectrum extract or just flower. Maybe I’m just old school!

I love distillate! I use it almost every single day! It’s so versatile and the fact that it doesn’t have any smell really helps me out when it comes to work and out in public. So grateful that I have many different connections to get distillate it’s definitely something that will be in my Arsenal for a while 🙂

I have used distillates for a while now. I have used as an extra in a bowl and on a blunt as well as dabbing and in a vape tip and even in a aspire vape. I’ve found that the pure distillate with no terps is the strongest but gives a clean medical high with no side affects associated with terps. It can be a little harsh as well. I’ve found that you loose a little potency by introducing some terps back but the trade off is worth it. It’s very strong so I’ve found you can cut it a little with e-juice in a vape and works well. If you try straight in a vape you may get a lot of crackling popping. Just an FYI. Overall a great product.
